We are a recruitment partner working with BACP who is the leading professional body for Counselling and psychotherapy in the UK. We are seeking a Communities of Practice Lead, to lead, develop and maintain BACP’s Communities of Practice Platform.Work as part of the member service team and embed engagement across the membership through the creation of communities.
This is a 12 month fixed term contract
Monday – Friday – 36.25 hours a week.
Closing date for application is Monday 6th April and Interviews will be held on Tuesday 13th April.
Principal accountabilities:
-Reporting to the Head of Member Services you will be responsible for working alongside the selected community platform provider, scoping out the requirements for implementation and continuous development of the platform. Ensuring the platform is a trusted environment where members feel valued and are encouraged to learn and innovate
-Pro-actively work with the membership to create a safe knowledge space that contains mechanisms for the sharing of best practices amongst the profession. Whilst also ensuring a space for the organisation to listen and contribute to the exchanging of expertise and knowledge.
-Research, identify and encourage the formation of specific communities that are beneficial to the work of the membership and that of the organisation.
-Responsible for producing the appropriate member support documents for the purpose and use of the platform.
The Knowledge and experience of the ideal applicant:
-A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role including knowledge of project management
-The confidence and capability to build strong relationships with key internal/external stakeholders
-Experience of working alongside influential groups and working with online based community platforms.
-A knowledge and understanding of counselling and the wider professions is desirable.
