We are recruiting on behalf of a family-owned manufacturing business for a Sales Account Manager. In addition to enthusiasm and drive, the successful person will ideally bring experience of electrical/manufacturing wholesale, as well as an ability to manage relationships with clients, agents and distributors.
A large element of the role is an ‘on the road’ account management function, regularly visiting 30-40 companies within the Midlands, London and the North. It is important to keep up-to-date with individuals within the different electrical wholesalers; while each one will maintain a catalogue and an awareness of the brand, the individual staff may change so a regular visit is important.
The other element of the role is supervising the sales agents, working on larger quote projects and selling bespoke services which, with many customers, are more of an emergency requirement than a go-to order.
Due to the nature of this opportunity, the company will pay 45p per mile – a company car is also an option. Typically this person will spend one day in the Rugby-based office.
