IT Support Officer
Kibworth (Leicestershire) based – with occasional on-call duties
Temporary to Permanent
Monday to Friday – 38hrs (between 6am -6pm) must be flexible
Up to £15.00 an hour £29,640 (depending on experience)
Our client, based in Kibworth, Leicestershire, is seeking an IT Support Officer. This is an excellent opportunity for an IT officer – training can be offered, who enjoys solving problems and working face-to-face with end users.
The key responsibilities of an IT Support Officer
- Deliver on-site IT support for client users, resolving hardware and software issues promptly
- Diagnose and repair problems across PCs, laptops, printers, and networked devices
- Install, configure and maintain operating systems, applications, and peripherals
- Escalate complex issues where appropriate and follow through to resolution
- Maintain accurate records of issues, fixes and client requests
- Provide on-call support on a rota basis, as required by the business
The minimum requirements for the IT Support Officer
- Some experience as an IT support or service desk role
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office and standard business applications
- Good understanding of networks, printers, and basic cabling
- Ability to work independently and manage time
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
The ideal candidate for the IT Support Personnel role:
- IT qualifications (e.g. CompTIA, Microsoft Certified, or similar)
- Experience supporting users in professional office environments
- Confident troubleshooting under pressure and delivering practical solutions
- Flexible and willing to take part in an on-call rota if required
