The Procurement Negotiator is responsible for leading strategic sourcing, supplier management, and commercial negotiations for MRO goods and services, diesel, and packaging categories across local and regional operations. The role develops and executes procurement strategies that deliver sustainable value through cost optimization, supply security, service excellence, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement.
Working closely with Operations, Finance, Legal, Health & Safety, ESG, and other business stakeholders, the Procurement Negotiator manages end-to-end sourcing activities, including market analysis, supplier selection, tendering, contract negotiation, implementation, and supplier performance management. The role also supports annual budgeting, procurement planning, and the deployment of regional and global procurement initiatives.
The position requires strong commercial acumen, analytical capability, and stakeholder management skills to balance business requirements with total cost of ownership, operational continuity, sustainability objectives, and procurement governance standards. The successful candidate will proactively identify value-creation opportunities, build effective supplier partnerships, and contribute to the achievement of procurement and business objectives across multiple countries and functions.
Key requirements:
- Degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, category management, operations, or a related commercial or technical role.
- Proven negotiation and contract management experience with a demonstrated ability to deliver measurable business value.
- Strong analytical skills and experience working with SAP and procurement systems.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Fluent English required; additional European languages are considered an advantage.
